Seasonal Gardener (Casual)

Join the Gardens team at the beautiful Kinross House Estate, helping to maintain our formal gardens, woodlands and grounds on a seasonal, casual basis.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of the Estate's gardens, grounds and woodlands.
• Planting, weeding, hoeing, edging and general garden maintenance.
• Pruning, propagation, formal bedding and caring for trees, shrubs and plants.
• Grass care, soil improvement, mulching and fruit culture.
• Glasshouse work and seasonal horticultural tasks.
• Preparing gardens and outdoor areas ahead of weddings, events and estate activities.
• Using hand tools, garden machinery and powered equipment safely (training provided where required).
• Assisting with ride-on and tractor-mounted machinery (training provided where required).
• Helping with snow and ice clearance during winter when needed.
• Maintaining clean, tidy and safe working areas.
• Supporting other departments across the Estate when required.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and working as part of a positive, respectful team.

We're looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons.
• Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.
• Is reliable, flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks.
• Has gardening or horticultural experience (beneficial but not essential).

Hours

This is a casual, as-required position, with hours based on the operational needs of the Estate, so flexibility is essential.
